1. Unique interior and vibes at Brody House
The Brody House is located in what looks like a majestic, very sophisticated Hungarian style apartment building. Just entering through the large outside door and climbing up the wide stairs, felt like we are in some historical, stylish art space.
There is an art corner right through the main door. The reception and other common areas are decorated with very creative, urban design elements. It’s a mixture or an old factory like elements and very original artwork, creating a very unique atmosphere.
Oh, and the room! We got the Photo room and it’s something very extraordinary. It’s furnished with the kind of antique, upcycled furniture. A bit like a grandmas country house, but in a very cool way.
There are old handwritten letters, newspaper cutouts and other treasures on the wall playing the role of a wallpaper.
Either you love it or hate it, but the design and vibes at this Budapest hotel The Brody House are unforgettable. By the way, we love boutique hotel rooms and this one is high on our top!

2. The Honesty Bar
The Brody House is not just one of the coolest places to stay in Budapest, but also the coolest place for a drink. They have a common area with three rooms and two bars. One at each end. Both are self-service bars, offering a variety of beers, wines and some more serious drinks.
The cool thing about this bar is that you have as many drinks as you like and you write the bill for yourself. Then you leave it at the bar and have it added to your hotel bill at the end. How creative is this?! They also have some peanuts and chips as a snack on the bar.
There’s a separate water and tea stand where you can have them for free 24 hours a day.
The bar area is decorated with original artworks, kind of reminding of a Vogue magazine photo shoot setting. They offer different fun board games to play with your friends. We tried out Scrabble one night and had lots of fun, chilling after a long day running around the city.
3. Breakfast
The most stylish boutique hotel Budapest can offer you is a place with an unforgettable organic breakfast muesli. The Brody House offers a very nice breakfast buffet with a variety of different breakfast items. The best part is the ability to put together your own muesli as you like.
You have a variety of seeds, nuts, berries, yogurt, jam and different kind of goodies. I’m not a big muesli person, but the one I managed to create in my bowl for breakfast was something mind-blowing. The best of Budapest!
4. Location
The location of Brody House Budapest is great for many reasons. It’s located in a central part of Budapest with everything you’d need just a reach of a hand away.
The place is also only 5 minutes walking distance away from the Central Market. It’s right on the route to the Budapest Airport and main bus station, making the hotel nicely connected via public transport.
While the hotel is centrally located, it’s not on a busy street. That creates the feeling that you are away from the crowds and all the busy tourist streets. If you wanna peace and quiet, you have it. If you are in the mood to be around people and see some popular places, you have that too.
Our favorite location aspect of the Brody house in Budapest is the fact, that it’s located 1 min away from an awesome vegan food place on the main street next to the Brody street. One of the best vegan lunches we’ve ever had. At the lowest prices we’ve seen in Budapest, Vega City is a very popular spot also among the locals. It feels like the Brody House really does have the best hotel location in Budapest.
5. Helpful feel-at-home staff
Another enjoyable aspect of staying at the Brody House is their positive and helpful staff. As the staff are those who can create an extra special experience for their guests, this point is pretty important.
From the very beginning to the end of our stay everyone from the Brody staff was extremely nice, contributing to the feel-at-home atmosphere. That’s something we really appreciate.
6. Feel like you are the only one there.
The Brody House offers 11 rooms only. For most of the time living there feels like you have a place all to yourselves. You do meet a few neighbors at breakfast, or later here and there. But overall it’s just like living at your own personal Budapest residence. Doesn’t that sound good?
7. Experience Brodyland
Brody House might be one of the best hotels in Budapest Hungary just for the reason its part of something called the Brodyland. It’s a combination of unique accommodation and creative club life.
Along with the Brody House that offers boutique hotel accommodation, there are also serviced apartments in downtown Pest and an exclusive Villa on the other side of the river in Buda. All of these venues have a common style with art elements, upcycled and repurposed interior and remarkable heritage buildings.
And then there’s our favorite member of Brodyland – the Brody Studios. Described as the “wild and bohemian child” of the Brody family, this club and event space offers a different kind of event throughout the week.
They do live jamming sessions, comedy nights and is available for private events. We went to one of their jamming sessions and really enjoyed the positive bohemian atmosphere there.
Whenever a question “Where to stay in Budapest” pops into your mind, going to Brody House will definitely be a good idea.
8. Supporting Ecotourism
It’s always pleasant to see that people care and are willing to remind others, how important it is to be living a nature-friendly lifestyle. Brody House is a great example of how to take small steps, one after another to fight a global problem.
At the Brody House, you will not find any plastic, disposable dishes, and bottles. It’s their contribution to keeping the oceans and our planet clean of trash.
Also, the interior of the hotel is designed with furniture, that’s made out of eco-friendly materials. They use recycled paper. The Brody House doesn’t allow smoking in its territory, making it a great and healthy place for non-smokers and families with children.
