Whenever Berlin is mentioned on the web, in travel blogs or really anywhere, it’s always tied to its dark past and what it used to be. Especially when talking about what to see in Berlin, and even in the inspo post about where to stay in Berlin.
But I think it’s finally time to stop thinking about all of that and instead look at how colorful, well-developed and stylish Berlin actually is. Especially when it comes to hotels.
Researching the best places where to stay, finding and testing out many stylish and extravagant Berlin hotels has been a bliss.
So you won’t have to look any further for your Berlin accommodation on your next trip. This city is extremely cool (that you can also make sure about in my Berlin video HERE) and these stylish hotels below fit right in the scene.
This city is not very cheap though, but we’ve got you covered whether you’re looking for best hostels in Berlin, stylish boutique hotels or a fancy 5-star luxury.
There’s something for every budget!

Favorite stylish boutique hotels in Berlin (midrange)
Capri by Fraser Berlin
Capri by Fraser Berlin is a perfect representation of how I expected Berlin itself to be at my first visit – a mixture of influences from the old Berlin and latest hipster style and colorful design trends of the new Berlin.
All the rooms at the Capri by Fraser hotel are the studio apartment type accommodation, with lot’s of space, private kitchen, desk for some laptop work, high-speed WiFi and a downstairs gym.
It’s all you can ask for if you’re keeping up the digital nomad lifestyle or traveling for a vacation, but want the option to cook in your room and keep fit at the gym.
Check out the full article about our experience at Capri by Fraser here!
As the name of the hotel already suggests, you should expect something way more than an average boutique hotel.
For the best experience, go for the room with the bath in it and that will totally feel like the cherry on top of the already exciting design that each room offers.
This hotel is best for couples on a romantic getaway, or maybe even a honeymoon. Oh, and make sure to try the cocktails at the bar. They’re a bit pricey, but hey – you’re on vacation!
Favorite stylish Berlin 5 star hotels
Hotel Zoo is easily one of the best luxury hotels in Berlin, that stands out by offering creative design of “high-class luxury meets colorful hipp Belin vibes”.
This urban, yet warm and homey hotel stands out with its cool balcony and rooftop city views and a very central location for those who love exploring by foot.
It’s gonna be a good choice for every traveler who lives by the phrase “travel in style” or simply appreciates comfort, quality service and more importantly – awesome hotel breakfast!
Sir Savigny Hotel
This hotel made the list for the fact that it’s as Berlin as it can get. With the interior mixture of Art Noveau and Modern elements with cool metals, artificial calfskin, wood, vintage rugs the rooms are just so exciting to admire.
But at the same time, they are very comfortable and functional, with even such elements as coffee and tea makers, books, bathrobes, etc to make your stay extra comfortable.
The hotel is centrally located and perfect for all kinds of travelers – solo, couples, families. Especially for those, who want to bring a lot of awesome IG shots home!

Eastern & Western Comfort Hostelboat
Traveling on a budget but still looking for a cool and stylish accommodation in Berlin?
2 boats on a Spree river making up a stylish hostel representing East and West Berlin will do the trick. Oh, and did I mention it’s located 10 m from the iconic Berlin wall which is now turned into a street mural masterpiece – East Side Gallery.
While the rooms are small and not too charming, as it is a boat cabin, after all, it’s all about the atmosphere and the cool experience.
Plus, since the location is the trendiest hipster districts of Berlin – Friedrichshain, and Kreuzberg, it’s gonna be a perfect choice for those who come to Berlin looking for chilling, fun times, clubbing and the presence of the most stylish locals.
Hotel Ambert has always been my favorite budget find in Berlin. First of all, because it looks so much better and is way more comfortable than in the Booking.com photos. That’s usually so rare!
The rooms and bathrooms are super spacious. Plus, it offers a good breakfast with the variety of food that I haven’t been able to find in any other places here for this price.
This is the place to choose if you love comfort and quality, but prefer to pay a budget price. It’s outside the central Berlin, but it’s easily reachable via public transport.
If you come in summer, check out the Thai Park for best Thai street food just a 5 min walk from the hotel. You’ll love the Asia vibe there!
Favorite stylish hotels in Charlottenburg Berlin
Charlottenburg is my favorite area where to stay in Berlin!
25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin
The words that best describe 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin are cool, vibrant and unexpected.
Offering floor to ceiling views overlooking the city, colorful yet minimalistic design, hammocks in the room (in a fancy way), and a rooftop bar that feels quite like any of the famous rooftop bars in Bangkok.
This is going to be the best Berlin hotel pick for any kind and number of travelers.
The prices start at around 150$.
Hotel Q! Berlin
Hotel Q! Berlin made this list due to its eclectic style. The rooms are comfortable and offer a clean minimalist style.
Then comes the International influences – spa with Japanese wash zone, a Finnish sauna, steam room, and a sand relaxation room.
And then comes my favorite part – healthy and contemporary Thai dishes in the hotel’s restaurant.
This hotel will fit everyone’s needs who appreciate worldly elements, but it feels especially great for couple’s travel.
Favorite stylish hotels in Prenzlauer Berg
This is the hip neighborhood for families. It’s known for Indie boutiques, flea markets, trendy and kid-friendly cafes as well as plenty of kids playgrounds.
Rooms in this hotel look like the cozy and homey version of those cool industrial style New York apartments. And the vibe gets even better – this building used to be a public swimming bath with a huge swimming pool over 100 years ago.
This unique pool is still here today and can be used Mondays – Fridays.
So if you’re a fan of hotels with rich history and stories to tell, this is your match!
LOCATION: Oderberger street 57, Prenzlauer Berg
For me, nothing ever beats hotel rooms with floor to ceiling windows, so this hotel makes the list! It offers stylish Studios and Double rooms with lots of natural light and a chance to wake up to views of Berlin’s rooftops.
I’ve seen it and that’s a cool feeling! Trust me on this one!
Their studios fit up to 4 people comfortably
and the price is not even that expensive, so this is a match for traveling families.
LOCATION: Prenzlauer Allee 241, Prenzlauer Berg
