Vang Vieng is a place who used to have a lot of tourists, mainly backpackers partying hard there and life was great. But now, a few years after the famous tubing parties have been shut down, Vang Vieng is different.
It’s a quiet town with not so much going on (apart from excellent nature, that’s worth seeing!) and therefore seems like the hotel sector and service quality is dying out too. However, among lots of mediocre places, there are a few that are awesome and worth picking as the right Vang Vieng accommodation for you.

This Vang Vieng Boutique Resort is another chance to fully immerse you in nature. That’s the best part of Vang Vieng. This resort is about 20-minute drive away from Vang Vieng, surrounded by beautiful gardens, mountains and what feels like endless green rice terraces. You have a free shuttle to Vang Vieng city available at any time.
Each of the stylish bungalows is equipped with a hammock, making it perfect to unwind and watch the nature. The breakfast is very good and free tea and coffee are available at any time.

The Green View Resort is surely one of the most unique places where to stay in Vang Vieng. Even though it’s located a bit outside the city, it’s a great choice because of the location. It’s right on the coast of a beautiful lake with islands. You can take a free Kayak and spend as much time on the lake taking in the views as you like.
The staff and service are great and thoughtful, making you feel at home. Rooms are decorated in a simple Lao style, but at this resort, it’s all about the surrounding nature, not the inside. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available at the resort.

◽BEST HOTELS IN VANG VIENG ON A BUDGET
Nana Backpackers Hostel
If you’re coming to Vang Vieng to party, then Nana Backpackers hostel is the place where you have to be. The rest of the town is pretty quiet, but around the pool of this Vang Vieng hostel, the party is always raging.
There’s a happy hour every evening with free drinks and it’s crowded. This is the spot where you’ll meet lots of new people just like in the old times of Vang Vieng.
This hostel is also the cheapest option in town, with dorms starting at $5. They also offer private rooms and family rooms. The location is also great, in the middle of the main street with all the restaurants, markets and bars around.
If you’re coming to Vang Vieng to get some work done and need a good WiFi, this is not the place for you. The WiFi is not the best and the party mood won’t help either.

Maylay Guesthouse
This Vang Vieng Guesthouse is an excellent budget choice whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple or even as a family with kids. Breakfast and the central location are great bonuses as well.
If you’re a digital nomad and getting online is important to you, this is the best budget hotel in Vang Vieng Laos for you! Their WiFi is excellent.

Simon Riverside Hotel
Located right by the river, equipped with a massive pool and epic views overlooking the limestone mountains from a room, Simor Riverside Hotel definitely is a candidate of being one of the very best place to stay in Vang Vieng.
And the cheap price for these comfortable rooms with AC and great shower is so worth it in comparison to the overall hotel price level in Vang Vieng. The room price includes breakfast with the choice of Asian or Western food.

It offers spacious, comfortable rooms, a large swimming pool with a view and classy restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
This luxury Vang Vieng hotel offers the kind of design and service, that you’d pay hundreds of dollars for anywhere in the world. But here in Laos you might it get for even less than a $100.

Riverside Boutique Resort, Vang Vieng
Another candidate for the title of the best luxury hotel in VangVieng is the Riverside Boutique Resort Vang Vieng. It really does tick all the boxes – flawless, comfortable rooms with balconies overlooking the large pool, beautiful location right on the riverfront, exotic gardens, very nice and helpful staff.
And my personal favorite part – excellent breakfast and food and drink choice by the pool. This is the one Vang Vieng Hotel that most people don’t ever want to leave. Try it out for yourself!

Inthira Vangvieng
This modern minimalist style hotel Inthira Vangvieng is another option to stay at the beautiful location with a view of the river and mountains. The best part of this hotel is the attentive service and very spacious rooms.
